After centuries of cries for a better road in Nianija that will link Saree Gibbi and Bati Ndarr to Chamen and straight to Nyanga Bantang through which is approximately among the 85kms roads to be constructed by the Gambia government; Nianijans are now hopeful that our tears will soon be wipe and the issue of road will be history.

Promised upon promised from the four (400) years of British rule the thirty (30)years Jawara government to the twenty two (22)years jammeh Era and now the Barrow regime for the first time the Nianija road is been tendered for bid meaning ;competent road constructors can apply for the construction of our long most anticipated road.

Now that This Nianija road is been featured on the nations news papers on the advertising column of the National road authorities ,this for sure, will be one of the best news the people of jaga will ever heard. This Nianija road has always been in the Diary book of every parliamentarian that Nianija has ever elected as their representative but one thing for certain if constructed and if the information on this news paper is to go by Hon.Amadou Camara will surely claimed the credit for tirelessly engaging the central government on the provision of the road and for the fact that the road is constructed during his tenure in office as a representative of Nianija and also the Barrow government.

Nianija located in the northern part of the Gambia in the central River Region is among the least develop districts in the Gambia and natives work kilometers daily to move out of the district to the main road.

With all the exorbitant WhatsApp audios, unending Facebook live and continuous writing about the 3yrs jotna. I am bewildered with the hypocritical nature of some Gambians, pushing innocent people up to the ditch and turn your back to your comfortable house. Who are those dancing the tune of the aftermath of the 3yrs jotna protest? (Only the executive) I passed by the kanifing court yesterday and I nearly cry for those executive members as all their members dumped them now .the people showing up for solidarity is less than a pocket.the members of the jotna most be joking. Stop pushing people and be very genuine in our advocacy.

I feel sad and disappointed with some Gambians.
The leaders of the 3yrs jotna are betrayed by their members.
The number that came out on the 16th of December ,if all of you come out to demand the immediate released of your executive ,the government can do anything in that. But you are all hiding and laughing at your members who are now languishing in horror and being incarcerated
If you know you can participate do not put your fellows in trouble.

The Gambia has became a nation of protest and lawlessness has eventually gripped the citizenry .The Gambia could have being the darling of all the nations after the December 1st presidential election in 2016 if proper and efficient measures were put in place for the proper implementation of services across the political spectrum, but hypocrites ,tribal bigots and selfish politicians and uninformed youths hijacked all that hopes and aspirations of the Gambian people in to their own selfish interest turning the country in to a nation of protest .protest open protest as if there is no formal and judicial way to seek redress.

However, selfish politicians and interest groups could not stop in dividing the nation but also used innocent youths to destabilize the country and cause these same youths ,as the aftermath of every protest the victims are the youths . The endless protest in the Gambia is a concern. Before we plunge this country in to an ungovernable land . there is a need for a national dialogue in the interest of the Gambia and everybody should be an ambassador of peace. Our young democracy should not be taken as an advantage to advocate the unthinkable and promote divisive politics across the political spectrum.

I am saddened and bewildered anytime I tune in to certain radio stations with their so-called “wax sahalat” were callers and commentators are chosen to give their versions on a local analysis which to me and many reasonable minds is the Genesis of our division as people. A step needs to be taking to address the matter of bais radio presentations.

It is the Gambia that we have ,and no one will come here and developed this land for us and so ,God forbid, if there is war here, we will all surfer the same.it is our collective responsibility to work in unison and in a harmonized manner to move this country to the apex of development.

The Gambia government most understand that, it is the responsibility of the government to provide citizens with the basic needs and stop the unnecessary talks on bamboozling citizens anytime they are on platform.

The safety and security of this country should not be compromised in the name of democracy by certain interest groups. I expected youths to take up the streets and protest for the low salaries of civil servants, the consistent power and water shortages, the perpetual corruption by some government officials, the continuous rise of prices of goods and services etc but not to be protesting and endangering their lives for politicians .

We should protest for better services but not for political gains.

I ,Ebrima D York will only take to the streets if youths are ready to take officials accountable in providing better services.
